[ pinpointing where Lloyd is shouldn't be too difficult: whereas the monster is constantly trying to run up to Kratos, Lloyd's footsteps only move further and further away, fading into obscurity. and the monster is perfectly distracted from Lloyd's getaway for now, attracted to the light eminating from Kratos's wings. way to paint a target on yourself…

Lloyd, meanwhile, is focused on finding that exit-- or at least something he could use so that he could fight the monster proper and not leave Kratos behind. once he's far enough from the scuffle, he starts to hesitate. dammit… leaving Kratos behind is already leaving a bad taste in his mouth. he thinks back to the events in the Tower, losing his friends one by one… and then Origin's seal, where he nearly lost his father…

dammit. dammit. dammit. he looks around, squinting in the darkness with hopes that he could find something — a pipe, a stick, paper fans, anything — that could be used to fight against the monster.

[not having the monster's full attention becomes more and more obvious. dodging off to the side without an immediate follow-up emphasizes that. kratos utters a curse under his breath. no, dammit! pay attention to him!

a quick fireball gets cast to hopefully force the creature to refocus attention on the right target. this thing will NOT go after lloyd. only over kratos' dead body will will he permit it to try to go and attack his son.]
