Feels weird... [She means literally, the walls feel a little strange, but she means it figuratively too. Lemme see. [ thankfully his hearing was able to pinpoint where exactly Mio was jiggling the handle, so he finds it pretty easily. he tries jiggling it himself with no luck, and then tries to feel around for something — a lock, screws that connects the mechanism to the door, a small hole, anything — that he could tinker with.

Dammit--! [ now he's trying the next best course of action: repeatedly slamming into the door with his shoulder. ] C'mon! Why won't it-- open--!
Hey! [She cries out in protest when he start ramming his shoulder, suddenly envisioning him going right through the wall and dropping down however many feet they're up in the air.]
Wait, stop! What if you fall through!? [She grapple for his arm or shoulder, something, to try and stop him from killing either of them.] We're really high up, remember!?
It's better than keeping you in here with whatever that is.
[ yeah, he's obviously not concerned with himself-- he simply does not want to subject this poor girl to being stuck in here with the giant snake-chair.
which means if he's going to get them both to bail prematurely from a gazillion feet up? then so be it. ]
Besides, I jumped from higher than this. I'll be fine!
