[the darkness masks the teeny smile that comes as a result of that comment. hearing lloyd actually want him to not die, impossible as it might be in the end, isn't something kratos ever expected post-betrayal. the kid hated him and with good reason. to not be hated anymore, well, it's nice. bad as this situation is, that single comment brightens both it and kratos' mood greatly.

smile vanishing, he focuses on the task at hand. an thought comes regarding spells and if casting any can be doable. judgment, effective and impressive as it is, is a no. that screams hit me while casting for 20 seconds. something basic might work. a fireball takes virtually no time to cast. noise permits for pinpointing both where lloyd and the creature are so the chance of missing the former and hitting the latter both increase.

the only necessary and lacking component to firing off a spell remains to be distance. this thing keeps on sticking way too close to permit to stop moving just yet. just a little more...]
